Mike’s passion for cycling started early and never faded. He built his career in the 1990s golden era of mountain biking, writing product reviews before stepping into editorial leadership. He edited Mountain Biking UK during its peak circulation, setting the gold standard for cycling journalism. Later, he led bikemagic.com one of the earliest online cycling platforms, before freelancing for major cycling magazines including Cycling Plus, Cranked, Singletrack, Cycle, and Privateer. He has also worked with Shimano, Cube, and Bloomsbury, crafting industry-leading content.
